Deal Registration for Networking Projects in the UAE
Bring your opportunity, technical requirements and delivery plan into one project review.
Submit your optical transceiver and cabling requirements to GBICS for deal registration consideration. Share your SFP, QSFP, DAC/AOC or MPO/MTP BOQ so the team can review technical fit, pricing requirements and the applicable commercial arrangement.
An enquiry starts a review. Registration status and any associated benefits require written confirmation.

Make the opportunity easier to assess
Commercial context
Describe the project stage, customer requirement, expected quantities and decision timeline. Identify the support you are requesting.
Technical clarity
Provide endpoint models, software, optical standards and cable details to help avoid unsuitable substitutions.
Written confirmation
Ask for the outcome, scope and applicable conditions to be documented before relying on any registration or pricing arrangement.
For resellers, integrators and service providers
Submit a defined customer networking opportunity
Deal registration enquiries are most useful when the project can be described clearly: what the customer needs, which products are involved and when supply is required. If your design is still developing, distinguish confirmed requirements from estimates.
Enterprise network upgrades
Include access, aggregation and core link requirements for office or campus projects. Identify replacement part numbers and any permitted alternatives.
Data centre and compute projects
Share the switch and adapter configuration, port rates, rack distances and cabling plan for server, storage or compute-fabric links.
Cloud and multi-site connectivity
Document the customer-side handoff and equipment requirements. Separate hardware supply from carrier services and facility cross-connect work.
For SFP transceivers in Dubai, QSFP optical modules in the UAE or a larger enterprise networking hardware requirement, attach the BOQ and ask GBICS to confirm the relevant products and project terms.
Deal registration submission checklist
| Area | Include in your enquiry | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Applicant | Company name, website, contact and existing partner reference if any | Identify the business requesting support |
| Opportunity | Project reference, application, location and customer organisation where authorised to share | Define the scope being reviewed |
| Project stage | Design, tender, quotation or procurement stage and known deadlines | Understand timing and outstanding decisions |
| Product requirement | Part numbers, specifications, quantities and acceptable alternatives | Build an itemised proposal |
| Technical environment | Host models, software, speeds, reach, fibre and connectors | Assess compatibility and channel requirements |
| Delivery | Required arrival date, delivery location and staged quantities | Check feasibility and supply assumptions |
| Support requested | Pricing review, technical input or a specific registration arrangement | Clarify the decision requested from GBICS |
Share relevant business information you are authorised to disclose. If customer identification or a document cannot yet be shared, explain the restriction and ask what is needed to proceed.

Keep registration, pricing and stock decisions separate
These are distinct confirmation points. One should not be treated as evidence that the others have been agreed.
Registration status
Ask whether the opportunity has been accepted, which scope is covered and whether any conditions or expiry date apply.
Quotation status
Confirm prices, quantities, validity, payment terms and delivery charges. A project reference does not establish a discount or a fixed margin.
Stock and delivery
Confirm availability, allocation if agreed, dispatch timing and destination delivery estimates before making customer commitments.
Engineering inputs for an accurate quote
Define the optical interface in each BOQ line
Use specific product requirements instead of descriptions such as “10G optic” or “100G cable”. The following examples show how form factor, reach and fibre requirements distinguish optical interfaces.
| Form factor / standard | Data rate | Maximum listed reach | Fibre | Wavelength | Connector | Compatibility checks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SFP+ / 10GBASE-LR | 10G | 10 km | SMF | 1310 nm | Duplex LC | Host model, software and LR endpoint |
| QSFP+ / 40GBASE-SR4 | 40G | 100 m OM3 / 150 m OM4 | MMF | 850 nm | MPO-12 | Port support and fibre mapping |
| QSFP28 / 100GBASE-LR4 | 100G | 10 km | SMF | 4 LAN-WDM channels near 1310 nm | Duplex LC | Host and LR4 interoperability |
These are reference examples, not a registration eligibility list or confirmed inventory. SMF = single-mode fibre; MMF = multimode fibre. Confirm exact module specifications and complete channel loss.
Optical modules
Include the host model, firmware or software, optical standard, coding requirements, temperature range and any required diagnostics.
DAC and AOC
Specify both endpoint models, end types, length, protocol and breakout mapping. Confirm the chosen cable is supported at both ends.
Fibre assemblies
Record fibre grade, length, connector gender, polish and polarity. For MPO/MTP assemblies, include fibre count and the required lane mapping.
Compatibility remains a technical decision
Registration does not validate a module for every host. OEM coding alone cannot establish electrical, optical or software compatibility. Ask for proposed part numbers and assumptions to be documented with the quotation.
From enquiry to a documented project decision
- Submit the opportunity. Email the checklist details and available BOQ to the GBICS team.
- Resolve missing information. Clarify project scope, technical requirements and the support requested.
- Request the outcome in writing. Confirm eligibility, any approved arrangement and the applicable scope and conditions.
- Review the quotation separately. Check product specifications, quantities, price validity and delivery assumptions.
- Keep the record current. Reference the original correspondence when requirements or dates change, and ask whether the changes need a new review.
Ask the team for the expected review timeframe. This page does not set a response-time commitment, registration duration or automatic renewal rule.
What to confirm before relying on project support
- Whether the enquiry is accepted and how the project is identified
- The products, quantities and customer scope covered
- Any specific pricing or protection terms, if offered
- Validity dates and any conditions for updates or extension
- How overlapping enquiries or material scope changes will be reviewed
- Any separate purchasing, stock or delivery commitments
No exclusivity, project ownership, first-come-first-served priority or stock reservation is established by this page. Rely on the written terms applicable to your confirmed opportunity.
Plan customer delivery around confirmed supply
GBICS advertises UAE stock, same-day dispatch and lifetime warranty. Confirm the applicable product terms, availability, dispatch cutoff and warranty/RMA process in your quote. A deal registration enquiry is not a purchase order and does not reserve inventory.

Deal Registration FAQs
What is deal registration?
Deal registration is a request to have a defined sales opportunity reviewed under the applicable supplier programme. For GBICS, submit your project details and ask the team to confirm eligibility, status and any terms in writing. Sending an enquiry does not itself establish approval or project protection.
Who can submit a deal registration enquiry?
Resellers, systems integrators, managed service providers and other businesses supporting a customer project can enquire. Include your company details and any existing GBICS partner reference. The team must confirm whether the opportunity and applicant are eligible.
Does registration guarantee a discount or exclusivity?
No automatic discount, exclusivity or margin is promised here. Any project pricing or protection must be expressly confirmed by GBICS, including the covered products, quantities, scope, conditions and validity period.
What if I do not have a complete BOQ yet?
Send the information available and identify what remains provisional. Include the application, equipment models, expected speeds, link distances, indicative quantities and project stage. Ask what additional details are required to complete the review.
How long does a registration remain valid?
No standard validity period is stated on this page. Request the applicable dates and conditions in the written confirmation. Quotation validity, registration validity and stock availability are separate items.
What happens if another company submits the same project?
Ask GBICS to confirm how any overlapping opportunity will be reviewed. This page does not establish a first-come-first-served rule, project ownership or automatic priority. Do not assume acceptance until the team confirms the outcome.
Does an approved registration reserve stock?
Do not assume it does. Stock allocation, purchasing commitments and delivery schedules require separate confirmation. Ask GBICS to document availability and any reservation arrangement before committing to your customer.
How do I submit or update a deal?
Email store@gbics.ae with your company details, project reference, requirements and timeline. Attach your BOQ where available. For an update, reference the earlier correspondence and highlight changes to products, quantities, customer scope or delivery dates.
